The Little Red Hen Kids Story

Once upon a time, there was a little red hen. She lived on a farm with a pig, a duck, and a dog. She worked hard every day. But the other animals never helped.

Once day, the little red hen found some grains of wheat in the garden. “We can plant these seeds, and they will grow”, thought the hen. So, she asked, “Who will help me plant this wheat?”.

“Not I,” oinked the pig.

“Not I,” quacked the duck.

“Not I,” barked the dog.

“Very well then. I will do it myself,” clucked the little red hen.

During the summer, the seeds of wheat grew. Then, the wheat turned a golden color. When it was ready to harvested, the little red hen asked, “Who will help me cut the wheat?”

“Not I,” oinked the pig.

“Not I,” quacked the duck.

“Not I,” barked the dog.

“Very well then. I will do it myself,” clucked the little red hen.

When she had cut the wheat, the little red hen asked, “Who will help me grind this wheat into flour?”

“Not I,” oinked the pig.

“Not I,” quacked the duck.

“Not I,” barked the dog.

“Very well then. I will do it myself,” clucked the little red hen.

When she had ground the wheat into flour, the little red hen asked, “Now who will help me bake the bread?”

“Not I,” oinked the pig.

“Not I,” quacked the duck.

“Not I,” barked the dog.

“Very well then. I will do it myself,” clucked the little red hen.

Finally, the bread came out of the oven. IT looked and smelled delicious. The little red hen asked, “Now who will help me eat the bread?”

“I will,” oinked the pig.

“I will,” quacked the duck.

“I will,” barked the dog.

“oh, no, you won’t,” said the little red hen.

The Little Red Hen

“I planted the wheat all by myself. I cut the wheat all by myself. I ground the wheat grain into flour all by myself. And i baked the bread all by myself. Now, i will eat the bread – all by myself!”

And that is what she did. The little red hen ate the bread all by herself.
