“Rose is the most beautiful flower,” said little Louisa. “But i think lilies are prettier than roses,” replied her sister Caroline. “I simply love its color.”
Mary was listening to her younger sisters talking about flowers. She said, “When you are talking of flowers, how can you forget the violet? I think violets are the best.”
Their mother heard them talking and said, “My dears, each flower teaches us something. While violet stands for modesty, lily teaches innocence and rose shows love for God and all its creatures.”
Now Louisa, Caroline and Mary found all the flowers equally beautiful!
